Four Chirnside Chasers got the day of school on Thursday to travel up to Grangemouth for the U15 Inter Area match.  Erin Moran, Keira Waddell, Robbie Paulin and Josh Abbott.  All the Borders schools clubbed together to run as Team Borders.  In what was classed as awful conditions there were some fantastic performances  for the Borders Team.  First up was Keira Waddell who won maximum points for Team Borders by winning the final.  Keira also competed in the shot put and Discus gaining some great experience.  Robbie Paulin ran very well in the 200m heats but didn’t quite make the final against some great talented lads.  Erin Moran competed in the High Jump and the Long Jump and managed to gain some points for the Borders Team.  Josh Abbott competed in the 300m and cruised into the final with a new PB of 40.05.  He has been chasing the illusive 40 second barrier and managed this in the final with a great run claiming 4th place and some valuable points and getting another PB of 39.60,  The boys 4 x 100m relay team included both Robbie and Josh and they qualified to get into the final and they claimed 2nd place in the final again gaining some valuable points for Team Borders.
