There were 6 young Chasers taking part in the Open and first up on the day were Hannah Meikle and Erin Moran. Hannah moving up to the Under 15’s Age Group ran a great hurdles in 10.65 coming second in her heat, she then went on to do the shot throwing the new weight and clocking 9.36m and finally gained a 4.20m in the Long Jump great start for the clubs multi eventer. Erin Moran unfortunately fouled 3 times in the triple jump but faired much better in the high jump finishing at 1.41m. Archie Fuller claimed a throw of 7.50m in the shot and then bowed out in the high jump at 1.36 great benchmarks coming back after a long injury. Harris Ross claimed a fantastic PB in the shot put throwing 6.45m well done Harris. Daniel Ross ran a fantastic 800m and claimed a new PB in 2.47.17 so well done Daniel. Finally Josh Abbott moving up an age group ran the 400m and gained himself a new PB in a time of 55.27 and then went on to smash his 200m time winning his heat gaining another PB and a sub 25 in a time of 24.97 so well done Josh great benchmarks for all these athletes to improve on over the coming summer.

Meanwhile braving the cold up at Broxburn in the final leg if the East District Cross Country just two of our Chasers made it up to run with Kyle Taylor the first team Border home in 18th in a time if 5.51 making their team 6th overall and his sister Isla Taylor running in the Under 13 girls made it home in a time of 13.38 with Border girls team also finishing overall in 6th position well done to both.
