Dechmont Law park was the setting for the inaugural Livingston AC Cross Country Championships on what was a beautiful October morning.
Kyle Taylor’s race was first up with Kyle taking the lead from the start and staying strong only to be beaten by 3 older boys in the closing stages, completing the 1.3K in 5minutes 23 seconds.
Isla Taylor was up next in the U13’s race over 1.7K and despite having teeth removed the day before and being up a lot of the night with pain from that. Isla ran very well completing the course in 7 minutes 17 seconds in 13 place.
Jamie Kinghorn turn next in his first Under 15 Cross Country race over 2.4 K. Jamie followed Kyle’s example and took an early lead but was over taken on the last downhill stretch and finished 4th in a good time of 9 minutes 25 seconds.
A great event which will go from strength to strength.
