A beautiful sunny morning in Edinburgh provided great running conditions for the nine Chirnside Chasers who headed up to Leith for the start of the 2017 Kilomathon. The event launched in 2010 and has seen over 10,000 runners competing since then. There are now 4 distances to choose from but it was the ever popular 13.1km all the Chasers took part in.
First home for the Chasers was Scott Purvis in 58.25 followed by Euan McGregor in 1:04:11, Tilly Fuller 1:06:29, Tracey McCann 1:06:56, Nadine Moore 1:10:54, Amanda Turner, Nichola Stewart, and Gillian Kirkhope all 1:19:04 and Val Redpath 1:26:25
It was worth the early start for the great route which takes runners along the beautiful Edinburgh cycle path network, taking in the historic Royal Yacht Britannia and picturesque Victoria Park. Its a perfect way to enjoy the tranquil cycle paths before a fantastic finish in front of the West Stand at BT Murrayfield Stadium. Well done Team Chasers!
