Well the weather kept dry for us at Hawick Games as there was enough perspiration flowing when Joey brown made his way into the final of the 90m. After his win the previous week he was moved back by the handicapper but still managed to get himself in to the final which ended up being one of the closest races I have seen for a long time, it took the officials quite a while to sort out the running order making us all very nervous waiting for the result but Joey just sneaking the win for 2 weeks in a row. The 800m saw three chirnsiders being placed with Daniel Ross coming in 2nd, Josh Abbott coming in 4th and Rory Williams coming in 5th. Josh stormed through the pack of many runners in the 400m claiming a superb 3rd from the back with Rory just behind in 4th and Kyle Taylor in 6th. Josh completed a very busy weekend by storming into the 200m final and claimed a 4th place again coming strongly through from the back. Harris Ross, Robert Derries and Isla Taylor also competed and with tough marks ran extremely well. Another great week from all the Chirnside Chasers.
