Team Borders were back up to the Forth Valley League last weekend in a bid to defend their title, Eight Chasers were picked this time for the team first up was Ben Evans in the B string 100m Under 15 boys race were he ran 14.27 and came 5th, Ben also ran in the relay team along with Josh Abbott. Next up was Tammy Hunter in the B string 100m Under 13 girls race where she ran 15.02 and came 4th, Tammy also did the raelay race where they came 3rd. Josh was up next in the 800m, still not back to form yet he still ran well and was the 1st finisher in the B string race, Josh also did the Javelin for the first time competitively and he threw 20.94 to come 5th and finally Josh also fan the first leg in the relay race where he got of to a flying start putting the team in contention but unfortunately they came 3rd still a good race though. Hannah Hamilton-Meikle ran a superb 800m to win the race in a time of 2.41 putting more points on the board. Hannah also did the high jump and jumped 1.20m to be 2nd in the B string. Kyle Taylor like Josh ran the 800m and the relay and he also did the long jump were he jumped 3.17m and came 5th, his 800m time was 2.49 and he came 6th but Kyle’s relay was where he shone, being the last race of the day and the only relay Team Borders won they ranit in a time of 1.03.40 with Kyle running the 2nd leg. harry still coming back from injury only competed in the field events doing javelin and shot put coming 4th in both in the B string. Charlie Stewart was Long high jumping today and managed a 7th for team borders and finally the star of the day was Keira Waddell who managed to throw 32.48 and also broke the Under 15 girls record held for Forth Valley so well done Keira.
