Well it was a sea of Green and Black today with no less than 17 Chirnside chasers making their way up to Meadowmill to chase some PB’s.  The day started with the 100m, Joey Brown ran again today and not joking but the timer failed to record his time, he was asked to run it again but didn’t as we have been here before his unofficial PB time was 12.40 and smashed his heat coming in 1st. Erin Moran ran a great heat coming 3rd in a time of 14.09, Erin also did the High Jump and managed a jump of 1.25m not bad for still carrying an injury.  Tammie Hunter also did the 100m coming 2nd in her heat in a time of 14.53, Tammie also ran in the 800m clocking up 2.59 and coming 4th and then went on to do the 200m winning her heat in a time of 31.90.  The Fuller family were all in attendance today with Archie also doing the 100m coming 7th in a time of 15.30 he then went on to come 4th in the High Jump with a jump of 1.35m and afterwards went on to win the Javelin heat with a throw of 19.49, next up big brother Harry who also did the Javelin and threw 16.40m and came 3rd in his heat then went on to get 1.35m in the Hhigh Jump no running for Harry as he is slowly getting back to full fitness, finally little sister Laura who ran the 600m for under 11’s and did a time of 2.51 and came 11th, Laura also threw the Shot Put and managed 3.40m and came 5th then went on to do the Long Jump and managed 2.51 and came 9th in her heat.  Emily Martin also ran the 100m in a time of 15.56 and came 6th and then went to do the 200m in a time of 35.49 and came 5th.  Hannah Hamilton-Meikle came up for the 1500m but found it tough as she usually does the 800m but still manged a good time of 5.45.  The Taylor’s were also competing with Isla doing the 1500m and coming 10th in a time of 6.01 and then bravely went on to do the 800m and managed this in a time of 3.03, Isla also did the Javelin and managed a throw of 9.30m.  Little brother Kyle was also competing trying his hand at the 75m and managed a time of 11.66 and came 2nd then went on to do the 600m and clocked a time of 2.02 and won his heat and then won the Long Jump heat in a jump of 3.65m well done Kyle.  Keira McGregor tried her hand at the 600m and came 4th in her heat in a time of 2.19, then went on to do the shot Put and threw 3.18m and came 7th and also managed a 2.41m jump in the Long Jump and was 11th in her heat.  Daniel Ross was running in the 800m and was trying to beat his PB which on the PO10 was 3.02 he absolutely smashed it in a fantastic time of 2.50 so a huge well done Daniel hopefully that was enough for coach Leeann.  Rory Williams smashed another 3 seconds of his 800m time from a couple of weeks ago running it in 2.23 and he won his heat comfortably, Rory still coming back from a year out is getting better every week well done Rory.  Oliver was the only Stewart twin running today he clocked 2.44 in his 800m and was 10th in the same heat as Rory.  Ben Evans changed tactics today and threw the Javelin and managed a great throw of 23.75 and was 1st in his heat. Our resident Javelin thrower Keira Waddel managed a 30.45m and was first in her heat and finally Josh Abbott who did the 300m and managed 40.48 a new PB for outdoors looking stronger again from last week he also ran the 800m and clocked 2.21 again quicker than last week so onwards and upwards.  It was also really lovely to see the sun for a change and we were all glad  it wasn’t yesterday’s weather.
