In what was another busy weekend for Chirnside Chasers,runners from the club took part in two different events,firstly on Sat was the Edinburgh Marathon Festival where some of the young Chasers took part in the 1.5k run and a 2k race results are as follows, 2k race Kyle Taylor 8.20 (37th),Isla Taylor (50th),8.34 Daniel Ross 8.42 (57th),Erin mcinnes 10.14 (177), out of 348 kids. 1.5k Charlie Jones 6.03 3rd, Harris Ross 6.23 12th, Zico field 6.39 23rd ,Mattie Jones 7.03 56th, out of 358 kids.
Meanwhile at the first Border games of the season at Earlston more young Chasers were displaying there running skills,Josh Abbot had the result of the day, getting 2nd in the Youths 800m only losing in a photo finish. Jaime Kinghorn secured 4th in the 200m youth final again after a photo finish for 3rd,Ben Reynolds also gained a 4th in the 1600m youths with Harry Fuller close behind him. Rory Williams and Charlie Stewart, Archie Fuller all ran well on the day as did Oliver Stewart, special mention to Laura Fuller who in her first Border games ran a very brave 1600m.
Now to Sunday and it was time for the Adult chasers to step into the spotlight and show the juniors they are as capable as the talented junior squad.
In the Edinburgh Half Marathon they did just that with the results as follows,Declan White 1.33.17, Stephen Ross 1.36.53, Tracey McCann 1.50.00 Zoe Mcinnes 1.52.11 Tilly Fuller 1.53.57 Leeann Ross 1.55.20 Riz Mcguile 1.59.30 Nicola Williams 2.03.53 Amanda Turner 2.15.12 Carrie Middlemiss 2.36.37 Leanne Carruthers 2.35.30 Dawn Sword 2.44.36 Suzanne McCluskey 2.44.36.
