The P6 winning team with Ben Reynolds, Rory Williams, Robbie Paulin and Jamie Kinghorn

Chirnside enjoyed success at the Borders School cross country at Galashiels on 15th March. A small team of 8 runners from Chirnside Primary School took part, along with three Chirnside Chasers from Swinton Primary School.

In the P6 race Rory Williams took the 2km race title in style with Jamie Kinghorn finishing in 3rd place. Also in the top ten was Harry Fuller (Swinton) who was 6th and Ben Reynolds who was 8th and Robbie Paulin also finsihing in the top 20. This meant that Chirnside took the team prize as well.

In the P6 girls race Caitlin Black finished 10th, while in the P7 races Andrew Duff and Ryan Kerr both ran well. While Joey Brown (Swinton PS) and Callum Smith (Swinton) also raced well – Joey finishing in the top ten.

All the team are now looking forward to the Scottish Schools Cross Country Event in April.
