The age group Championships were held over 2 days with the U13/U17 groups taking place on Saturday.

In the under 13 Erin Moran,Hannah Meikle  and Heather Kinghorn took part.The girls performed brilliantly in what was there first ever National event with Erin gaining new PB’s in the 100m and Long Jump.Hannah ran in the 800m finishing 2nd in her heat with a new PB. Heather putted the shot and gain herself a new PB.In the under 17’s Alexandra Vallance threw a new Pb in what was her first national event.

On Sunday the U15/U20’s age groups kicked off with Jamie Kinghorn in the long jump,Jamie jumped well and got a new PB,Josh Abbott and Jamie both ran in the 300m but failed to make the finals,Josh then ran in the 800m but could not make the final.Both these boys will be in the same age group next year as will Kiera Waddell who again threw very well in the javelin gaining her a new PB.

A great weekend for all the young Chasers helped by the coaches Stevie and Leeann.

Chirnside Chasers busy time continues as over the weekend of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August 2015 as they undertake a 24 hour charity relay run, commencing at 2.00pm on the Saturday.

The run will is in aid of Eve oultion  which raises funds for Ward 7 of the Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital.11692783_777510299037046_4330378946653623483_n
